Quiet Wanderlust
My Story
I'm originally from a small town in southern Louisiana. After graduating high school I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I tried college and nothing really interested me. All I knew was that I wanted to travel and see the world. So I did what any kid with no money would do, I joined the United States Air Force. I served four years in Alaska and it was quite the experience.
While in the military, I realized I had social anxiety real bad. I just could not be in groups of people. I avoided large crowds like the plague. I used to love going to festivals and concerts. I still love to travel and do exciting things but now it just looks a little different. While in Alaska, I found my love for reading, small coffee shops, and hiking. Once I got out of the military, my husband got a job that requires him to travel every few months. So now we travel and go to different states.
No matter where we are, I believe there will always be something to do. Whether it's a coffee shop, bookstore, hiking area, good restaurant, or even a quirky attraction. So, if you're like me and love to travel but hate the crowded places, read my blog and travel guides.
